Cancelled Christmas Party Update:

We regret that it was necessary to cancel the Christmas Party.

We received an apology from the Will Rogers Gardens Exhibition Center (WRG) for the debacle and conflict with the "Informational Meeting" regarding drilling south of Lake Hefner.  We will be able to apply the rental fees to a future use of the facility.  The Parks and Recreation Department, of which WRG is a part, did not hold the conflicting meeting.  That's a different organization, the OKC Water Utilities Trust.

After discussions with the elected officers and the Executive Board, the decision is to NOT reschedule the Christmas Party.  However, we recognize the desire for a more "social" occasion. Thus the January meeting will occur as scheduled at 7:00 pm Thursday January 22, 2015.  As is mandatory, the first half of the meeting will consist of a business meeting and election of 2015 officers.  However, the second half of the meeting will be a social occasion to visit with other beekeepers.  We will return to normal meetings in February.
